Goodbyes are Still Hard

As we celebrate four new Elders in the Mission, we say goodbye to four of our dedicated Elders, and this time, a senior couple.  On Wednesday, August 1, 2012, we had an enjoyable evening in the Mission Home with dinner and a testimony meeting.

Elder McCarlie, Elder Anderson, Sister Anderson, Elder Bensen,
President Robinson, Sister Robinson, Elder Nielsen, Elder Bjork

I have to remind myself that they are wonderful 21-year-old's that enjoy goofing off!  It was great to have them in the Mission Home.  It is generally pretty quiet around here--it was a pleasure to have them stay for a night.

On Thursday, August 2, 2012, after a quick and early breakfast at the Mission Home, we loaded everyone up. We stopped at the Mission Office to collect the rest of the luggage and headed for Schiphol Airport.  After taking care of the luggage we went to security and said our goodbyes.

 We will miss the Andersons.

(Yes, I gave every single missionary a goodbye hug--that's what 'moms' do!)

We took pictures to the very end.  Goodbye Elder Nielsen.
Elder van de Graaff, you have to stay!

Tot Ziens!  God's Speed.  We love you and will miss you.
