Special Zone Conference

On September 5 and 6, 2012 we had the remarkable experience of having President Kearen, a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and the 1st Councilor in the European Area Presidency come and tour the mission.  We held Zone Conference on both Wednesday and Thursday.  What a remarkable and unforgettable event it was for us.  He was impressed with the Missionaries and the Mission.  There are wonderful changes that are happening in the mission.  With Elder Kearen's direction and the leadership of President Robinson and the Zone Leaders, we all feel a sense of 'a new page' in the book of the Belgium Netherlands Mission. At a special dinner held on Wednesday Evening with Elder Kearen, the Stake Presidents from three of the four Stakes here in the mission, and Elder Boom, the Area Authority Seventy, we were reminded that President Spencer W. Kimbell promised the people of the Netherlands there would be 40 Stakes in the Netherlands.  We now have 4 Stakes.  We all felt impressed with the truthfulness of this statement.  We have work enough to do..... 

Prior to beginning the Rotterdam and Antwerpen Zone Conference, Elder Kearen shook hands with the missionaries.  Due to how Elder Kearen organized the meeting in the Apeldoorn and Den Haag Zone Conference, he shook hands, but there are no pictures.
